The Dragon Heads marks the entrance to Kume Mura (Kume Village). In 1383, the first Chinese Diplomatic Mission to the Ryūkyū Kingdom was established at this location. Some of the most well known Okinawan families can trace their ancestors to this Chinese settlement. As we continued our walk, we passed by the Meibukan Gōjū Ryū Dōjō, founded by Yagi Meitoku Dai Sensei (1912 — 2003).
Then, we visited the Monument in Honor to Miyagi Chōjun Sensei, the Founder of Gōjū Ryū. In the picture below, a picture from the Bubushi ancient text decorates the front of the monument...

VISIT TO FUKUSHUEN/CHINESE GARDENS | |||

Our next stop was at Fukushuen, also known as the Chinese Gardens. It is located in Kume Mura district in Naha. It was built in 1992 at the 10th year celebration between the sister cities of Naha and Fuzhou (Fujian province, China). It symbolizes the connection between China & Kume Mura district in Naha: the location of the first Chinese settlement in the Ryūkyūs, which came from Fujian province.
Then, we rushed back to the Dōjō by monorail...
